“As I walk / As I bleed / I wanna take you everywhere with me,”
declare Lime
Garden on
their
forthcoming debut album,
One More Thing
. As it happens, the Brighton (UK)
four
-
piece are
about to do just that. In this candid record, we’re granted exclusive access to the sonic diary
of four best friends blossoming together. “I feel like you can hear us growing up in the
songs,” says vocalist and rhythm guitarist Chloe
Howard
. Throughout their debut album
, the
indie
-
electro band (completed by
Leila Deeley (lead guitar), Tippi Morgan (bass) and
Annabel Whittle (drums)),
take us on a coming of age journey into womanhood.
The
charismatic friends
have been busy making music since
they were 16, releasing singles
since 2020 and garnering support from the likes of NME
, BBC Radio 1,
6Music, The Fader,
and The Independent. Now is their defin
ing moment
–
and they’re ready.
Lime Garden’s debut album One More Thing
will be r
eleased
on 16
February 2024 via
So
Young Records
. The album was
p
roduced by Ali Chant (Perfume Genius, PJ Harvey, Yard
Act)
and record at studio in Bristol
. T
he album is the culmination of a stellar run of singles
and non
-
stop
touring that has seen Lime Garden share
stage
s
with the
likes of
Idles
,
The Big
Moon
, and Phoenix. Th
e
y were
nominated for the prestigious ANCHOR award
at the
Reeperbahn festival
and 2023 saw them
perfor
m at Glastonbury
, SXS
W, Icelandic Airwaves,
along with numerous other major festivals.
Lime
Garden came together via a twist of fate when Chloe Howard and Annabel Whittle,
friends on social media, found out they'd just enrolled at the same college. Here they met
Leila Deeley and the three bonded over a love of Talking Heads, the lyrics of Courtne
y
Bar
nett and note taking trips to their local gig venue
. With college life done and dusted, the
bright lights of Brighton beckoned, which is where the fourth and final member Tippi Morgan
fell into the equation yet again by chance. With an infectious and
ever
-
changing energy that
pervades throughout their songs, artwork, and videos, the band has started to develop a
similarly enthusiastic response.
