TOMTEN // tomtenmusic.bandcamp.com

Tomten is a quartet from Seattle, Washington. They are often described as Dream Pop for their organ/electric piano driven sound. Tomten was formed in 2008 when Singer/Keyboardist Brian Noyeswatkins met Bassist Lena Simon at art school. They began recording demos in the practice rooms, and started performing regularly in 2010 after drummer Jake Brady joined the band. The newest record Wednesday’s Children was released the summer of 2012. Recorded on an old 16-track Tascam in a small Seward Park studio over the course of a hazy week in July, Wednesday’s Children features a keen yet subtle plate-reverbed parade of leslie organs, mellotron, chiming guitars, and 3-part harmonies.
